View Full Version : Could you forgive Conor?

Lots of rumours on the guy from many avenues on the www. Well known fact is that he suffered a very bad injury with us, and he hasn't exactly set Windsor a light. DJ stated last season when Oran and Conor both came back that he didn't expect anything from either of them and that it would take till this new approaching season until we seen the both of them back at their best. He recently handed in a transfer request, which I believe was reluctantly agreed by the club. If he decided to revoke his transfer request, would you be able to forgive him or has he burnt too many bridges?

No. Simple as that.

Yes. On his day I think he is class.

Give me Downey firing on all cylinders than Curran or trialist Mulryne, but if he wants away then we would have to take whatever we could get for him.

If Mulryne picks up the form he had while at Man Utd we could have a superb signing on our hands..... however thats totally straying away from the poll.

Undoubtedly has the talent but hasn't the application.

Time to move him on.

No doubt he's a good player, but his attitude has been stinking and if he doesn't want to be at Linfield, he shouldn't be at Linfield

It would take a massive shift in attitude for Conor to succeed with the blues now but I still hope it can be possible if he sorts himself out.

yes and if sorted out i think Conor would be a good player for us this season/Can play right side or in the Middle with Gaulty

One of our better players against Carrick, looks like he was trying to prove something to someone, maybe tried a little too hard at times.

I'm not 100% sure about him but if he wants to play for us I'd give him my support.

If he is willing to get his head down and work on his commitment to the club and play like he did against Carrick, I'd gladly have him with us for next season. As pointed out, he can play RM as well as CM and he could be used to give Maccers a kick up the hole and get him start playing some football, we know he can play!

AFter witnessing the shambles at Carrick, I would sooner see Conor in the middle than Maccers!

I would have Downey playing in our midfield any day of the week over anyone bar Gaulty. My midfield would be Kearney Downey Gault Mulgrew.
McAreavey is the most over hyped player at Windsor, at times I wonder can he do no wrong. Yea he can be quality but we very rarely see it. Downey on the other hand has one or two miss placed passes and the boo boys want him off.
From the day he signed for us I remember my dad saying he'll not stick it at windsor, not because he is lazy but simply because he has the best footballing brain at our club and no one is on the same level as him. Cant blame a guy if he wants a clean break and like Stewart he probably doesnt want to be on the bench or out of position every week to Paul (can do no wrong) McAreavey.
Just my opinion on the situation.

When I see him kiss the badge of his shirt then I`ll accept him!

Agree with that!

Also agree with the previous post tho. DJ has been trying to fit Connor into the same team as Maccers, when really they're both going for the same attack minded midfield position. The difference is, Maccers has been relatively injury free for a couple of seasons now and has yet to be seen to put the workrate in.. Conor showed against Zagreb he will when its asked of him.

However i still hold one point over this and its if he doesnt want to play in a blue shirt, then go, now.
